Lycksele Zoo is the northernmost zoo in Sweden and is specialized in Nordic animals. It was founded in 1959 by Holger Lithner, former municipal parks superintendent. It all started with a small animal collection at Gammplatsen (the Old Site) and was moved to Brännberget in 1966, where it has developed into the biggest tourist attraction in northern Sweden.
Arrangements
Lycksele Zoo can offer great opportunities for those who would like to come up with something different for a kick-off activity, representation, a staff party or a family day. Everything from groups of 10 people up to 7 000. Many of the arrangements will work perfectly well when the Zoo is open to the public, or perhaps you would like to book the Zoo for an evening of your own.
We take care of everything such as drinks and snacks, food, guided tours, "pentathlon" or an exotic experience among our Nordic animals.
